McClymonds: School of Champions work-in-progress preview video includes local news coverage of the current situation at McClymonds High School blended with commentary from alumnus Dwight Nathaniel, who coached the school's basketball team to the CIF state championship in 2008, and Johnny Lorigo who is a retired McClymonds counselor and athletic director.

The video includes historical information about the West Oakland community and the school's list of prominent sports alumni presented by former City of Oakland recreation director Bill Patterson and Oakland sports historian Paul Brekke-Miesner, author of the book Home Field Advantage.

The documentary is being produced to chronicle and preserve the rich history of the Oakland school from the present - retrospectively back to 1924 when it was established and named after J.W. McClymonds, the school district's very first superintindent.  "McClymonds has a history unlike any other school in the entire East Bay, and this film will help to demonstrate the positive impact it has had on the community of West Oakland," says filmmaker Doug Harris.
