Film chronicles the history of an unincorporated West Contra Costa community that has continually struggled through adversity and was once considered one of the most dangerous communities in the entire country.
Surrounded by the Chevron Oil Refinery and the General Chemical Plant, the community is faced with ongoing environmental challenges that include high cancer rates amongst its residents. The unincorporated North Richmond community borders the City of Richmond and is experiencing a shift in demographics due to gentrification.
